Dr. Meger Chappell, Captain, USN, Retired, is the COO of Chappell & Chappell Consulting and Mediation Professionals, LLC based in Orange Park, FL. Dr. Chappell is a Department of the Navy Certified Mediator, Civil Circuit Supreme Court, County, and Family Mediator in Florida with extensive experience in conflict resolution and mediating numerous civil, family, and Department of the Navy cases. He is also a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Arbitrator and distinguished leadership and business consultant.
During Dr. Chappell’s military career, he had the honor and privilege of holding various leadership positions, including Commanding Officer of the guided missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) and as Commodore of Destroyer Squadron Four Zero & Task Force Four Five where he was responsible for maritime operations and counter-illicit trafficking. He has a vast leadership and academic background to include master’s degrees in Management, Military Operational Art and Science, Human Resources Management, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, an MBA, a Juris Master, a Ph.D. in Business Administration and a Doctor of Law. He is also an associate Professor and Dissertation Chair at National University’s School of Law & Policy, and the faculty Business Department Chair at Trinity College of Jacksonville.
